Mrs Devenish, Stevenage

When we asked Mrs Devenish for a small testemonial, this is the excellent feed back we received –

“My pleasure.

We had several people quote for our conversion. However we wanted the best and that’s entirely what we got. Jamie managed the entire conversion from start to finish.

The work is of exceptional quality and all the tradesmen he used to do all the work – plastering, plumbing, carpentry and electrics were all top notch. Because of Jamie’s contacts there were no delays and the conversion went smoothly with no fuss.

The area was left clean and tidy at the end of each day and clearly all of the team knew their trade very well.

We have been left with a wonderful new space of which we are very proud. No hesitation in recommending JDL and if we ever needed further work doing we know exactly who to ask. “

JDL LATEST NEWS – FEBRUARY 2016

Published 22/02/2016

Well, what a start to 2016 we have had.

The construction industry does not seem to be slowing down, and our ever growing order book is proving that. As well as moving into our first office building with attached storage, our team has expanded with the addition of 2 new full time staff.

JDL have secured two major demolition / strip out projects over the last week. This will keep our commercial teams very busy for the next 6 weeks.

Compton House, Guildford will see us take down and remove over 3400m2 of suspended ceilings, 1900m2 of glazed and solid partitions, 115 door sets and 8 WC blocks.

Barratt house, Oxford street, has a very challenging chimney breast which will be demolished to allow a new flue from basement to roof. The chimney breast spans over 7 floors including the roof. All works have to be completed out of hours to keep disruption to the busy office to a minimum.

JDL have also been given an initial instruction to complete the refurbishment of Stevenage based company, BAMA. The refurbishment will be carried out in two phases, includes altering the existing layout, new decoration and new floor coverings.

Domestically, we have been given the go ahead on two local extensions. One double storey with big internal alterations, and a single storey extension to form a new dining room.

Director Jamie Logan said “ Securing these 3  projects has been a big breath of fresh air for us. We have worked tirelessly over the last 2 years to enter the commercial market, and our hard work is finally paying off. As well as the projects we are still winning domestically, 2016 is proving to be a very busy year. We look forward to all of the challenges that it puts our way. Moving into our first premises and growing our team has allowed for more focus on dealing with customers directly. As a result I can tender for more projects. If there is anything that we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact me!”
